Demo Reels

Greetings and welcome to my portfolio website. I am currently seeking employment as a freelance storyboard artist or revisionist.

I'm a graduate of Otis College of Art and Design in Los Angeles, majoring in Digital Media. My emphasis is on storyboards for animation. Most recently, I storyboarded the Fraggle Rock meets Ben Folds Five music video "Do it Anyway." (The storyboard animatic can be found in my "Demo Reels" section) I worked as a storyboard artist on season 2 of Mary Shelley's Frankenhole, a stop-motion animation series for Adult Swim. I was a Storyboarder and Revisionist at Film Roman/Starz Media for ABC's Mike Judge animation The Goode Family. I work in Storyboard Pro with a Cintiq, so I'm quite fond of digital storyboarding.

Prior to that, I was a Storyboarder and Animatics Artist for Big Bad Tomato, working on Scholastic's Study Jams and Goosebumps' Horrorland website properties. I have created storyboards for a short film called “Alaska” by Annetta Marion for the American Film Insititute. I’ve also drawn character and creature designs for a traditional RPG book called The Last Spellbook, created and designed by Scott Compton of the Climax Group.

I have been a Production Artist at Scope Seven, Inc. for DVD games such as the Hogwarts Challenge from Scholastic and Shrek Swamp Party from Dreamworks. For a more detailed look at my resume, just click here

I am a highly motivated artist, familiar with a fast-paced schedule and working on projects with talented people. I have experience with Storyboard Pro and the Wacom Cintiq. I use Photoshop for digital painting, Painter, Flash, and Illustrator. I also create animatics integrating 2D and 3D with Maya. I have used AfterEffects to composite footage and I have edited short films in Final Cut Pro. I have an online portfolio and the animatic for my comic book Wish³ which may be viewed here.

I look forward to hearing from any film, video game, or animation company. I may be reached via email at Sylvia Draws (at) gmail.com. Thanks for your time!
